Recently, a war of words has broken out between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and Hall of Famer Carl Froch.

During an interview discussing Paul vs. upcoming foe Tommy Fury, Froch mentioned that any former champion in decent shape would be able to defeat the hard-hitting Paul.

When he caught wind of the comments, Paul took to Twitter and blasted back in the direction of Froch.

"Carl Froch mad because I made more in 1 year than he made his whole career. You want the payday. I get it," said Paul, suggesting Froch wanted to be the former champion in question.

"So let's do this: Fight Anderson Silva on my next card and if you get lucky and beat him, then we can step in the ring and you make your career payday. Let me know," Paul expressed.

Now, responding in a video shot in what looked to be his home gym, Froch made something of his own challenge. While he claimed he wouldn't face Silva because he respected him too much, Froch said he would consider a fight if Paul managed to get beyond Fury on the weekend.

However, Froch seemed doubtful Paul would get it done against Fury.

"I'm a four time world champion, (I've got) two WBC titles there -- you'll never ever have one of them. You're not good enough, you're not a professional fighter. You're a performing clown," said Froch.

"So, keep my name out of your mouth until you become something in the game," continued Froch. "I think this Saturday, your world ends. But if it doesn't and you're stupid enough to take a fight with me, when this right hand lands on your chin, it will put you into fucking orbit and knock that stupid bonnet off the top of your head."

In my humble opinion, I doubt a fight between Froch and Paul is ever to materialize. The egos involved simply won't let it. That said, it would certainly do giant numbers in the UK, particularly with how well both can talk and how entertaining both could keep the promotional run.
