PICK: CANELO ALVAREZ VS. EDGAR BERLANGA

On Saturday, September 14, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and live on pay-per-view, world unified Super Middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez will battle unbeaten slugger Edgar Berlanga.

Alvarez (61-2-2, 39KOs) last competed in May of this year, handing fellow Mexican Jaime Munguia his first loss as a professional with a unanimous decision victory. Canelo has picked up four straight wins since his last defeat, a decision loss to Dmitry Bivol back in May of 2022.

Berlanga (22-0, 17KOs) has remainee perfect as a pro, having gone unbeaten in his 22 contests. While Berlanga possesses a 77% KO ratio, Edgar has stopped only one of his last six opponents. That stoppage came in his last bout back in February of this year, which was a sixth round stoppage over Padraig McCrory.
