PICK: TERENCE CRAWFORD VS. ISRAIL MADRIMOV
By: Jay Calderon
On Saturday, August 3rd, a the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California, and live on pay-per-view, former undisputed Welterweight world champion Terence Crawford will battle current Jr. Middleweight world titlist Israil Madrimov.
Crawford (40-0, 31KOs) has remained perfect as a professional, having most recently cleaned out Welterweight with a perfect 8-0 record with all stoppage wins. That run was capped off with a stoppage over rival Errol Spence back in July of last year, where Crawford became undisputed champion at 147 pounds.
Madrimov (10-0-1, 7KOs) has remained perfect as a professional as well save for a draw against Michel Soro in 2022. Interestingly enough, Madrimov does hold a win over Soro, meaning he has beaten everyone he has faced. Madrimov's lost recent win occurred in March, when he handed Magomed Kurbanov his first defeat as a pro.
Check out my pick and preview for Crawford-Madrimov in the video above.
