By: Jay Calderon
On Saturday, June 1, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and live on DAZN, former Heavyweight titlist Deontay Wilder will battle the hard-hitting big man Zhilei Zhang.
Wilder (43-3-1, 42KOs) last competed in December of last year, losing to heavy underdog Joseph Parker over the distance. Wilder's last victory came against Robert Helenius, stopping his foe inside a single round back in October of 2022.
Zhang (26-2-1, 21KOs) coincidentally also last fought Joseph Parker, again losing to the underdog over the distance back in March. Zhang's last victories were over Joe Joyce, having stopped Joyce in consecutive bouts in April and September of 2023.
Also on the card, Raymond Ford (15-0-1, 8KOs) defends his Featherweight title against Nick Ball (19-0-1, 11KOs). In Heavyweight action, Filip Hrgovic (17-0, 14KOs) will take on Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19KOs). In a Light-Heavyweight contest, Hamzah Sheeraz (19-0, 15KOs) will battle fellow unbeaten Austin Williams (16-0, 11KOs). Also in Light-Heavyweight action, Willy Hutchinson (17-1, 13KOs) will encounter Craig Richards (18-3-1, 11KOs).
