PREDICTION: LEIGH WOOD VS. MAURICIO LARA

‍On Saturday, February 18 at the Motorpoint Arena, and live on DAZN, Featherweight titlist Leigh Wood will defend his crown against hard-hitting Mauricio Lara.

In his last outing, Wood won the Fight of the Year when he stopped previously-undefeated Michael Conlan in the final round of action back in March of last year. Wood, 26-2 with 16 stoppages, has been a titlist since July of 2021, though he became the full WBA titlist when Leo Santa Cruz vacated his portion of the gold late last year.

Lara, 25-2-1 with 18KOs, last competed in October, bulldozing Jose Sanmartin in three frames.
