RESULTS: FRANK MARTIN CRUISES BEYOND MICHEL RIVERA

On Saturday at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and live on Showtime, Lightweight Frank Martin dominated previously-unbeaten Michel Rivera.

Earlier on, Rivera seemed to be living up to the slight favorite tag he was given heading into the contest. However, Martin soon took over. Martin was landing to the body, controlling the space of the ring and never allowing Rivera back into the fight.

In the end, all three judges had it wide for Martin, with scores of 120-107, 118-109, and 117-110. Martin improved to 17-0 with the victory, while Rivera dropped to 24-1 in the paid ranks.

In the co-featured bout of th evening, Super Middleweight Vladimir Shishkin outhustled former titlist Jose Uzcategui, landing more often, landing first and nearly sweeping all of the early rounds to build a giant lead.

While Uzcategui came on a bit later in the contest, it wasn't nearly enough as all three judges had it for his opponent, with scored of 117-111 x2 and 115-113. Shiskin improved to 14-0, with Uzcategui falling to 32-5.
