On Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and live on pay-per-view, undefeated Gervonta Davis stopped previously-unbeaten Ryan Garcia in the seventh frame in one of the sport's biggest fights of the year.

Action started off with Garcia coming forward a bit more, and Davis looking to sit back and counter. While neither man landed much of anything, the jab of Garcia may have been enough to carry the frame.

Davis was moving more in the second, but Garcia was looking to land a big shot. While Garcia wasn't landing too clean, Davis was holding to avoid the exchanges. Then, Garcia over-committed with the left hook and a counter left hand dropped Garcia. Still, to his credit, Garcia beat the counter and was again coming forward to end the round.

Like in the first two frames, Garcia was again coming forward in the third. Davis was just moving laterally, looking for his moment to land the big counter. The jab of Garcia was working, but Davis landed with a lead left hand, then a few jabs of his own.

In the fourth, both were looking to land the quick jab but coming just short as the other slipped away. Garcia whipped in a decent right hand, then landed a lead right a half minute later. The power jab of Davis landed well in spots of the frame.

Davis was again moving and looking to counter starting off the fifth, sneaking in a couple of lead left hands in the process. Davis was stepping in now, and Garcia came close to landing the check left hook. Still, Davis managed to get a few body shots inside. Neither landed much down the stretch.

Garcia came out on the front foot in the sixth, then landed a few solid right hands that caught Davis' attention. Down the stretch, Davis landed a solid left hand, while Garcia was mostly jabbing, then coming up short with the follow ups.

Another solid right landed for Garcia after a few jabs to start the seventh. A left, right then landed for Garcia, who looked to be getting more into the fight. However, on the inside, a massive body shot landed for Davis and Garcia was forced to take a knee after a delayed reaction. While Garcia seemed aware of the count, he didn't seem able or willing to continue and was counted out.

Time of the stoppage was 1:44 of the seventh frame.
