RESULTS: JOSH KELLY CRUISES TO DECISION WIN OVER TROY WILLIAMSON
By: Jay Calderon
On Friday in Newcastle and the Utilita Arena, and live on Channel 5 in England, Jr. Middleweight contender Josh Kelly easily snatched up the 154 pound British title from undefeated Troy Williamson.
While Troy was game, he simply didn't have the skill nor the nuance to deal with the ability and the movement of Kelly, who hardly lost a round on most observer's scorecards. Kelly, with the victory, picks up his 13th professional win and improves to 13-1-1. Williamson drops to 19-1-1 with the loss.
In the co-featured bout of the evening, Lyndon Arthur made relatively easy work of Joel McIntyre, stopping his foe in the second round of a Light-Heavyweight affair.
