RESULTS: JUAN FRANCISCO ESTRADA EDGES ROMAN GONZALEZ IN ANOTHER WAR

On Saturday in Glendale, Arizona, and live on DAZN, Ring Magazine World Jr. Bantamweight champion Juan Francisco Estrada narrowly-defeated Roman Gonzalez via majority decision.

The first half of the fight was much better for Estrada, with the Mexican boxing and moving beautifully, landing the better shots overall. However, as the fight unfolded, Gonzalez went through the gears and strung together convincing arguments for winning the frames down the stretch.

In many respects, one could have assumed the fight would be decided by the twelfth and final round. However, the round proved to be as close as their fights themselves. In the end, one judge had it 114-114, while the other two had it 115-113 and 116-112 in favor of Estrada.
