RESULTS: RAUL CURIEL, DIEGO DE LA HOYA BOTH VICTORIOUS

On Saturday in Los Angeles, and live on DAZN, undefeated Raul Curiel of Mexico made easy work of American Brad Solomon, stopping him in the second round of action.
A simple two shot combination dropped Solomon in the second. While he seemed able to rise, he opted to take a knee and remain there for the duration of the referee's coount at :44 of the frame.
Curiel improves to 12-0 with 10KOs with the latest stoppage victory.
In the co-featured bout of the evening, Diego De La Hoya dropped and ultimately earned a technical decision over journeyman Jose Gonzalez. In the earlier frames, an accidental clash of heads caused a cut over the right eye of Gonzalez. However, that was only one of his problems in this encounter.
De La Hoya was in total control and it remained that way until the final round of action, which wound up being the eighth stanza. All three judges had it wide for the cousin of Oscar De La Hoya, with indentical scores of 80-70.
With the win, De La Hoya improved to 24-1 as a professional with the win.
