By: Jay Calderon
On Saturday (Sunday in Australia) at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Queensland, Australia, and live on Showtime in the States, top-rated Tim Tszyu blasted out Carlos Ocampo in the opening frame.
In the first, Tszyu got to work early, landing a big shot that stunned Ocampo. After a few more big blows, Ocampo crumbled to the canvas. While he managed to beat the count, Ocampo looked very unsteady on his feet.
Tszyu kept up the pressure and stunned Ocampo once more, before landing a massive left hook that sent Ocampo crashing into the ropes. The bout was immediately waved off.
Time of the stoppage was 1:17 of the first.

On Saturday at the Smoothie King Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana, and live on DAZN, 140 pound titlist Regis Prograis made a successful defense of his gold against Danielito Zorrilla.
Both men got off to awkward starts, with a straight shot seemingly dropping Prograis in the early rounds, though it was ruled a slip by the referee. Prograis then landed a grazing shot in the third that sent Zorrilla down hard, but he beat the count.
From there, neither man landed anything of significance for the duration of the fight. Prograis continued to press the action and come up just short with his lack of reach. Zorrilla would land decent shots from the outside, but wasn't nearly busy enough to impress the judges.
While Zorrilla earned one card with a tally of 114-113, it was overruled by tallies of 117-110 and 118-109 in favor of the titlist.
