SCHEDULE: BRANDON FIGUEROA-MARK MAGSAYO, LEWIS RITSON-OHARA DAVIES & MORE

The week has some decent action coming up. Perhaps no major fights, but the quantity is certainly there, with some potential for a firefight or two.

On Saturday at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, California, and live on Showtime, former Featherweight titlist Mark Magsayo will battle former Jr. Featherweight titlist Brandon Figueroa.

It could be an explosive encounter, with the nonstop style of Figueroa seemingly matching up well with the power-punching Magsayo. Making matters even better, the pair both come into the contest both looking vulnerable, and with something to prove.

In his most recent outing, Magsayo suffered his first defeat, dropping his title against Rey Vargas back in July. The 27-year-old dropped to 24-1 with the defeat.

Figueroa was successful in his most recent contest, but it wasn't a perfect debut at 126 pounds. Figueroa came from behind against Carlos Castro, stopping him in the sixth back in July. Figueroa improved to 23-1-1 with 18KOs with the win.

On the undercard, former Jr. Middleweight titlist Jarrett Hurd will return to action against Jose Resendiz at 160 pounds.

Also on Saturday, at the Polideportivo Arena in Culiacan, Mexico, Angel Fierro will take on Eduardo Estela in a battle of once-beaten Lightweights, live on DAZN.

In his most recent outing, Fierro, 12-1-2 with 16KOs, stopped Jeremy Cuevas in the sixth round of action in October.

Estela last competed in November, earning a split decision win over Ruben Torres. With the win, Estela improved to 14-1 with 9KOs.

Earlier on Saturday, in a crossroads battle at the Newcastle Arena in Newcastle, Lewis Ritson (23-2 with 13 stoppages) will take on Ohara Davies (24-2 with 17 stoppages) in a must-win for both fighters.

Ritson last competed in March, earning a decision over Dejan Zlaticanin. Davies was active more recently, stopping Abdessamad Nechchad back in June.
